Ugandan Singer Alien Skin Denied Bail, Remanded in Luzira Prison
Ugandan singer Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, was denied bail and sent back to Luzira Prison on remand following his appearance at Makindye Court this morning. The 30-year-old musician, who is also a father of three, appeared in court alongside his bodyguard, Julius Mugabi, known as Julio, on charges of assault and robbery.
Alien Skin, whose real name is Patrick Mulwana, was arrested last Tuesday after being accused of assaulting medical personnel at Nsambya Hospital. The incident reportedly occurred after the death of one of his associates. He was remanded shortly after on additional charges related to a robbery, where he is accused of assaulting and stealing money and an iPhone 15 Pro from Salim Mubiru at H&M Restaurant in Makindye in September.

During today’s court session, Alien Skin pleaded not guilty to all the charges presented against him. However, after hearing the case, Her Worship Esther Adikin, the presiding judge, ruled that he would remain on remand until his next appearance in court on November 28th. She noted that since both parties involved were seeking reconciliation, bail would not be considered at this time.
Following the ruling, Alien Skin was escorted back to prison in a waiting police patrol car. The news of his remand has sparked reactions among his fans and fellow artists, many of whom continue to show support for the singer and express optimism about his release. His supporters have also been vocal in demanding his freedom, hopeful that the ongoing legal proceedings will result in his eventual release.
