HON.MIKE MUKULA WORKS FOR SELFISH GAIN – ENGORU SIMON A.K.A GENERAL KAYAMAN

At one point I campaigned and worked as an Nrm cadre, I remember working with Peter Ojur who was the Nrm flag barer by then, but he was also complaining that he was blackmailed and side lined by Mukula, they complained he never comes to help. I also remember campaigning and moblising for Julian Iseet as an Nrm Cadre who also complained she never got any back -up from Mike Mukula.
In the 2021 elections, I contested as a City councilor of Soroti City West and I was also as Nrm Diehard helping in the moblisation for all the Nrm candidates in my area where i come from,Soroti City West.
Amongst the candidates i campaigned for was Calvin Echodu but to my surprise we never got any support from Mike Mukula, he was instead holding meetings at his residence asking people to vote for an independent candidate Ebwalu Jonathan.
Why would president Museveni trust a man like Mike Mukula who can not support his own people, he has divided Nrm in teso more than he would United them.
Mike Mukula works for selfish gain. An example i can give is, a few days a go i saw his strong supporter Joshua Okello seated on a boda around shell kireka and it was raining heavily, I was driving in my car and I asked myself “why is a whole international lawyer suffering like this?, why is he defending leaders who can not help him?.
It disturbed my understanding because some few months ago, i read on daily monitor news paper that same lawyer was evicted from the house he was renting as an office for his organization, thrown out like a chicken thief with a lot of humiliation and the car was also confiscated by the money lenders.
In my personal analysis, I think Counsel Joshua Okello is misplaced and i suggest he comes and supports people like Echodu Calvin because this is a man who is willing to invest to improve people’s lives like his. We need a new social covenant that empowers local charities, grassroots movements and faith groups – creating a more imaginative, more collaborative and less bureaucratic approach to community development if we are going to transform the life chances of countless young people and families.
When I say that leaders like Mike Mukula use people, i am not saying that leaders should abuse people. An example is me and Davido Spider, Mike Mukula used us as musicians kept on giving us empty promises which put us into problems at the end and makes him a selfish leader.
A good leader like Calvin Echodu would or will recognize the gifts and abilities in others, even when they don’t see it in themselves and get those people to contribute based on that.
Such leaders don’t always ask for volunteers because they know who is good at what job. They see the big picture and can identify the role that each person can play in accomplishing the task before them.
People are everything. Give your people the respect that they deserve, do the uncomfortable part of being a leader and use them, even when they don’t realize that they are being used
Don’t use and abuse . Don’t use for your own gain. Use the abilities and talents of your people to accomplish a team goal.
