Kyambogo, Kampala — What began as a night of prayer and thanksgiving turned into a powerful testimony of hope and transformation during the Crossover Night Prayers held on 31st December at Kyambogo College Grounds, as Apostle Daniel Emaasit Osuret of PMCC Church extended life-changing support to a struggling Ugandan artist, Digida Ya Yesu.

The overnight prayers, which attracted thousands of believers from different parts of the country, were marked by moments of worship, reflection, and prophetic declarations. However, one moment stood out and deeply touched the congregation when Apostle Emaasit called Digida Ya Yesu forward and publicly blessed him with a cash gift of £100 and $100, drawing loud applause and emotional reactions from the crowd.
Digida Ya Yesu’s story is one of hardship, perseverance, and unbroken hope. For a long time, he earned a living by selling and pushing water using a cart wheel, a physically demanding job that required long hours of labor for very little return. The work exposed him to exhaustion and uncertainty, yet it was his only means of survival.

When the water business became unreliable, Digida Ya Yesu was forced to seek alternative work. He later found employment working for individuals in Amuria District, where he was paid as little as UGX 5,000 per day. The amount, though small, became his daily lifeline. Unfortunately, the same money had to cover transport, lunch, and other basic needs, making it extremely difficult for him to cope with the cost of living.
As a result, Digida Ya Yesu often found himself trapped in debt, unable to save or invest in his talent. Despite these challenges, he continued to nurture his passion for music, believing that one day his story would change. His determination to keep going, even when circumstances were overwhelming, stood as a reflection of resilience shared by many young Ugandans struggling to survive on informal and underpaid labor.
Addressing the congregation, Apostle Daniel Emaasit shared Digida Ya Yesu’s journey, describing it as a reminder that great potential can exist in the most difficult conditions. He emphasized the responsibility of the Church and society at large to uplift those who are struggling, noting that true faith must be expressed through practical support and compassion.

In addition to the cash blessing, Apostle Emaasit went further to support Digida Ya Yesu with clothing and additional financial assistance, restoring not only his physical appearance but also his dignity and confidence. In a significant pledge that sparked excitement and hope, the man of God also committed to supporting Digida Ya Yesu’s upcoming music video shoot, a step expected to open new doors and give the artist a platform to share his talent with a wider audience.

The gesture was widely praised by attendees, many of whom described it as a clear demonstration of faith in action. For PMCC Church, the moment reinforced its growing reputation for combining spiritual ministry with tangible acts of support for the needy and vulnerable.
As the New Year began, Digida Ya Yesu’s story emerged as one of the most inspiring testimonies from the Crossover Night. It served as a powerful reminder that with faith, compassion, and timely intervention, lives can be transformed and dreams revived.

For Digida Ya Yesu, the support marked the beginning of a new chapter—one filled with renewed hope, opportunity, and the belief that his talent, once buried under hardship, now has a chance to shine.
