Abba Marcus Mayanja Shocks Fans by Admitting He Doesn’t Know Popular Ugandan Artists
During a TikTok live session, Abba Marcus Mayanja, the son of renowned Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone, made an unexpected admission about his knowledge of current Ugandan artists.
Speaking with a noticeable American accent, Abba confessed that he was not familiar with some of the Ugandan musicians who are currently making headlines.
He specifically mentioned that he didn’t know who Alien Skin was and asked his followers to stop inquiring about him.
Abba’s confusion didn’t end there. When his followers asked him about his uncle, singer Clever J, he expressed his bewilderment. Abba explained that people kept bringing up the “Ensi Yaleeta” hitmaker, but he had no knowledge of him.

He found it strange that his followers were discussing his own family members, which left him a bit puzzled.
Living in the United States, Abba currently resides there with his siblings, where they attend school.
In June, he graduated from Spring Lake Park High School in Minnesota. Despite his famous family connections, Abba seems more immersed in his life in the U.S. than in the Ugandan music scene, which could explain his unfamiliarity with the names and trends in the industry back home.
This candid moment during his TikTok live session highlights the generational gap and geographical distance between Abba and the Ugandan music scene.
His followers were clearly eager to hear his thoughts on Ugandan music and artists, but Abba’s response shows that his life and interests have evolved in a different direction, with a focus on his education and experiences in the U.S.
